Making Mug Rugs at the Denver Sewing Collective

Our meetup on November 18th was really enjoyable and a bit crazy.  Turns out that our room where we normally meet was triple booked.  So we ended up sharing half of a call center room with some very nice Mary Kay ladies.  I didn’t get much done because I left my cord and pedal at home.  I did manage to make a pincushion.

Here are a few photos of members making mug rugs with Ryan Walsh’s tutorial.

And here is one Beth was working on.

Lynne chose bright sunny colors for her mug rug.

And, here is Aurora working on a quilt she needed to get done in time for Christmas.

There are more photos on our Facebook Fan page plus on our meetup site.  All in all this was a great meeting and one of our best turn outs.  I want to thank Ryan Walsh of I’m Just a Guy who Quilts and Rachel Lyddon of Contented for supplying the tutorials.
