“Screw the mortgage let’s buy art”

Art Salon

Went out to the Art Salon of Denver’s Scorned Lover’s Night last night.  I don’t have any recent scorned lovers in my life (not that I know of) but it was still fun getting out and seeing some amazing art and being part of a very festive group of people.  Talked with the artist Hannah L. Walker who had our favorite pieces of the night.  Here are some pics but you really need to see them in person.  The award winning poetess Kate Redmond read some lover/scorned lover poetry, plus there was tarot card reading as well as wacking a pinata and a lot more.

Kate Redmond

Kate got the party going with her sometimes funny but also descriptive poetry about past lovers.

Our favorite one by Hannah L Walker

just think of his heart breaking as you hit it
